2022 Chevrolet Silverado Boasts New ZR2 Off-Road Trim and Much More

Chevrolet recently gave us a first look at the 2022 Silverado 1500 — and it’s everything we hoped it would be, showing off refreshed design features, cutting-edge new tech, and the very first ZR2 off-road trim.

We’re especially excited about the Silverado ZR2 here at Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC. This mighty truck boasts a 420-horsepower V6, Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, and specially tuned suspension springs for taking on extreme terrain. It also comes with 33-inch off-road tires, a skid plate package, and a high-approach steel front bumper.

The Silverado is even more capable for 2022. The standard 2.7-liter turbo engine has boosted torque ratings and a stronger engine block. And the 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel can tow up to 13,300 pounds[1] — an increase of 4,000 pounds from 2021.

Expect new looks from the new Silverado, both inside and out. The interior shows off a redesigned console and dashboard to go with the available new 13.4-inch touch screen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The exterior has a new front fascia and grille, along with three new paint options: Glacier Blue Metallic, Dark Ash, and Sand Dune.

The 2022 Silverado will also be available with GM’s advanced Super Cruise™ system. This technology lets you drive hands-free on more than 200,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada, even when you’re towing a trailer.

The refreshed Silverado will show up this spring here at Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC in Ruston, Louisiana, and we can’t wait to get you behind the wheel to experience it for yourself.

Before you buy a vehicle or use it for trailering, carefully review the Trailering section of the Owner’s Manual. The weight of passengers, cargo and options or accessories may reduce the amount you can tow.
