As we move into the autumn months and the weather begins to change in North Louisiana, it’s a great time to catch up on service for your vehicle. Here are just a few of the things we can take care of for you this fall here at Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC in Ruston.
Check the headlights
As the days get shorter and the sun sets earlier, you’ll be relying more on your vehicle’s headlights and other lights. Take a few minutes to make sure all of your vehicle’s exterior lights are working properly. If any bulbs are burnt out, the Courtesy service department is here to replace them.
Monitor the battery
After a long, hot summer, it’s a good idea to make sure your battery is still in good shape. Here at Courtesy, we’ll be happy to check whether it’s still holding a charge the way it should. If necessary, we can also install a new battery for you.
Replace your windshield wipers
Have you replaced your vehicle’s windshield wipers recently? It’s a good idea to do this at least once a year, and fall is the perfect time. If your wipers are leaving streaks on the glass or starting to fall apart, it’s especially important to get new ones.
At Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC, we look forward to helping you this fall with these maintenance tasks — or anything else your vehicle needs to run smoothly and look great!

Georgia may have snagged the title “Peach State,” but there is no better place in the world for anyone in the “peach state of mind” than the 69th Annual Louisiana Peach Festival. This year’s theme is “A Peach in Time.”
The Annual Louisiana Peach Festival takes
place in the hometown of Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC Cadillac: the lovely little
town of Ruston, Louisiana. This year, the festivities run from Friday, June
21st to Saturday, June 22nd. You can have any sort of summer fun under the sun
at the Peach Fest, from kids’ fishing tournaments to live outdoor concerts. Of
course, there will also be a constant stream of peach-themed events and
activities taking place to celebrate everyone’s favorite stone-fruit. We’re
talking peach-eating contests, peach art exhibits, “cobbler gobbler” eating
contests, and more.
Peaches used throughout the event come from
three north-central Louisiana orchards: Mitcham Farm, Thompson’s Peach Farm,
and Yak’s Peaches and Vegetables. You can visit all three of these wonderful
farms all year round to keep your family stocked with fresh-from-the-branch
Friday before 5:00 PM, admission to the Peach
Fest is free. After 5:00 PM on Friday and all day on Saturday, admission is
$10.00. A weekend pass option is available for just $15.00. Children age 11 and
under receive free admission all weekend long.
