Cars, trucks, and SUVs from GM already offer outstanding on-the-go connectivity — and now they’re on the verge of getting even better. General Motors is teaming up with AT&T to bring lightning-fast 5G cellular service to millions of vehicles over the next several years.

This new 5G network will help lay a reliable foundation for GM’s future, as the company continues to roll out innovative new vehicle platforms, technologies, and mobility services.

What’s the big deal about 5G? To start with, it’s super speedy. Whether you’re downloading music and videos, getting over-the-air software updates, or taking advantage of services like navigation and voice control, 5G will make it happen so much faster. On top of that, the new 5G network from GM and AT&T should result in better coverage while you’re out on the road.

Starting with the 2024 model year, 5G connectivity will be available for a select number of Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC vehicles. That doesn’t mean older vehicles will be left behind by the new network — 2019 and newer models equipped with 4G LTE will reap the benefits of faster connectivity, too. Learn more about the current GM lineup’s connectivity options, like built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi® and OnStar® services, when you visit our showroom at Courtesy Chevy Buick GMC in Ruston, Louisiana.
